A Giving Day is a 36-hour fundraising challenge for the whole Fettes community, including Old Fettesians, parents, staff, students and friends of Fettes, to come together to make a difference.
For our first ever Giving Day on 17th-18th September, we are planning an array of fun activities on campus, such as the highly competitive Steeplechase, and we invite you to take part in the day from wherever you are in the world.
With tens of thousands of pounds to unlock in match and challenge funding, it will be a transformational day. Please give what you can and help make this exciting event a success.
Our Giving Day is spread over 36 hours to enable the global Fettes community to participate.
Gifts made during this period will go even further than usual. Thanks to the generosity of our match and challenge donors, there is the opportunity for your donation to be matched as we complete special challenges to unlock additional funds.
Your gift could go towards refurbishing the Old Music Room into a well-designed multi-purpose learning space fit for current and future Fettesians. Plans developing an entrance from the Old Music Room on to the Queen’s Lawn, which will transform the space and allow us to make to most of its prominent position at the heart of the campus.
Our Prep school needs your help to make some improvements to their playground. The children love playing outside but would really benefit from some new equipment and a new surface in the playground.
You can also choose to make your gift unrestricted, to be used where Fettes needs it most. Whatever you can give, you can be sure that your contribution is greatly appreciated and your support is vital to helping us achieve our goals.

Yes. We know that some donors’ schedules may not allow them to participate during the Giving Day itself. The online donation links on this website are now live. Alternatively, you can send your gift by post to us at Fettes (cheques made payable to the Fettes Foundation).

Yes, you can choose this option when making your gift. Alternatively, you can choose to have your name on the donor wall and share a message if you wish.
Yes, if you are a UK taxpayer and have paid as much Income Tax and/or Capital Gains tax as the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in this tax year. This will boost your donation to the Fettes Foundation by 25p for every £1 you donate, at no extra cost to you.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can also benefit by obtaining relief for the donation on your tax return.
Yes, we are extremely grateful to those who choose to follow in Sir William Fettes’ footsteps and make a difference in this tax-efficient way.
